Lindsay Michalski
Graduate student taking a break from grants and manuscripts to wax poetic on music.
I'm sorry I don't laugh at the right times.
I'm Lindsay. I like a lot of music, and I try not to be too snobby about it, just like I like a lot of coffee, and sometimes that includes a Caramel Ribbon Crunch frappuccino from Starbucks. So you might see Taylor Swift on here alongside Red City Radio, and I will never not love The Wonder Years, no matter how many consecutive nights they sell out at Webster Hall. I have a cat who will no doubt be sitting on my keyboard while I write, a boyfriend who loves Frank Turner and small-venue DIY shows alike, and a townhouse in Saint Louis with two record players and two stereo systems...but we listen to 90% of our music using Spotify and a bluetooth speaker.
I'm working on a PhD, so most of my day-to-day writing involves jargon-y science-y terms that sometimes I don't even understand. This won't. This is a place for me to get my feelings about music out on paper, because that feels more meaningful to me than writing up statistics. If that stuff gets to be published, this should too.
